Motion |
Councillor Geraci arrived 19:15
It was proposed by Councillor Boughtflower, seconded by Councillor Howkins and resolved to allow an alteration to Councillor Boughtflower’s motion to read as follows:
1. Vote of no confidence and removal from office in the Leader and Deputy Leader of Spelthorne Borough Council; and
2. Propose Councillor Boughtflower as the new Leader and Councillor Matthew Lee as the new Deputy Leader.
The Mayor advised that as the second part of the motion was dependent on the first being successful, the motion would be considered in two parts.

The Council resolved to approve the vote of no confidence and removal from office of the Leader and Deputy Leader of Spelthorne Borough Council.

It was proposed by Councillor Turner and seconded by Councillor Gibson that the motion be amended to as follows:
“Propose Councillor Sexton be elected as the new Leader and Councillor Bateson be Deputy Leader for the remaining five months of the Council.”
A recorded vote was requested on the amended motion and the results were as follows:
